Seeking a Purchasing Manager SFPM- REV.
Our Client Company is a master fabricator of heavy-duty steel components and assemblies, and supplier of forklift masts, carriages, and contract fabrications to heavy equipment manufacturers. And for more than 20 years, they have serviced the medical industry with surgical braces and a variety of medical devices manufactured from stainless steel and specialty metals. The annual salary is 65K 75K dollars, with relocation assistance available.
The Purchasing Manager drives all aspects of purchasing consistent with current company policies and procedures. This includes the search and oversight of all vendor-purchasing activities and the supervision, control, coordination, and proper processing of all functions reporting directly to him or her. The Purchasing Manager advises the Vice President of Finance and makes recommendations regarding departmental functions, procedures, policies, and systems within the scope of the Purchasing activity. He or she spearheads the search for subcontracted business, and reviews PRF, RFQ, and ECR submissions. Most importantly, the Purchasing Manager provides an uninterrupted supply of goods used to manufacture products for the company.
Requirements:
(Note: Only candidates with the following qualifications will be considered)
Degree in Business Administration
Minimum of five (5) years experience in purchasing and/or materials management within a manufacturing environment, and a minimum of 10 years overall experience
Manufacturing, Inventory, and fully integrated system experience
Working knowledge of, and proficiency in, word processing (Word), spreadsheet (Excel) and data processing.
Experience in Epicor Vantage ERP Software (a plus)
Strong database management with an emphasis on MRP/MPS (strongly desired)
Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Note: Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
